The three buildings are classic Loire Valley; the well-tended garden, its pool-in-a-barn cleverly fitted into an 18th-century wine tank, and the soft new décor – lovely bedrooms and bathrooms – bring a sense of ease and elegance. And Madame is a wonderful hostess; add her culinary prowess and you have a travelling gourmet’s treat. Breakfast is the freshest imaginable with marvellous pastries (Madame took a course…). Then walk it off exploring the glorious châteaux. You can book dinner, and they will love you if you drive a vintage car. For wine buffs, cyclists, château-lovers, here is a touch of luxury in a sea of vineyards.
This beautiful B&B is in an excellent location from which to explore the chateaux of the Loire. It is easy to find. The home has been tastefully renovated and the rooms are very stylish, comfortable, and quiet. The generous breakfast offerings included several breads and homemade items. We are especially grateful to Christine for her generous hospitality allowing us to have adjoining rooms with the friends with whom we were traveling. She was also very helpful in obtaining dinner reservations and in helping us find an excellent local guide.
