5% for Ukraine

The UN refugee agency has given a stark warning that this could be the “largest refugee crisis this century”, with up to 4 million people already fleeing the country. An estimated 6.5 million people are thought to be displaced inside the war-torn country itself. The UN also estimates that a further 12 million people inside Ukraine are stranded or unable to leave because of fighting will need relief, support and protection. Many of these people have no water, electricity, shelter or healthcare. This ongoing conflict is creating a humanitarian crisis that is impacting everyone from the young to the old.

Help us support the Choose Love Ukraine Crisis Fundraiser

What we are doing:

It’s a desperate situation. We’ve felt moved and compelled to do something to help, even though it feels tiny considering the enormity of the crisis. The Sawday’s brands (Sawday’s, Canopy & Stars and Paws & Stay) will be supporting the Choose Love Ukraine Crisis Fundraiser with 5% of our revenue in March. In addition, we will be donating 5% of the equivalent of our employees’ salaries in March to the appeal, as a gesture on their behalf. Choose Love and their partners are providing emergency medical care, food, shelter, warm clothing, legal and mental health support to those remaining in Ukraine or fleeing the terrifying conflict, and we know their efforts are providing essential support.

How you can help:

We are inviting our community of owners, guests, and friends to do the same. If you can, please join us by donating 5% of your income, 5% your salary or 5% of your company’s revenue (or whatever you can comfortably afford) in March towards supporting those who desperately need help.

We have set up our donation page through Just Giving as 100% of the contributions will go to the Choose Love Ukraine Crisis Fundraiser.
