Come for an exceptionally inviting 17th-century Inn, a chocolate-box Cotswold village, excellent local food and ales, very comfortable rooms

There's a large old open fireplace in the bar and old photographs of the village and pub back in the day. Not much has changed, with locals rubbing shoulders happily with walkers popping in for a pint; on a rainy day it's the sort of place you could sit by the fire and read a book or play cards. In the dining room you'll find a menu of old favourites - fish and chips, burgers, but also chef James Wilson's fancy, sometimes foraged, always local dishes. Try roast pumpkin soup with chestnuts, Confit beef shin croquette with celeriac, duck with Toulouse sausage cassoulet and a popular pudding menu. Hand pumped ales from Stroud and a thoughtful wine list complete the picture. Walk it all off in the afternoon - the Cotswold Way can be joined just 2.5 miles down the road at Chipping Campden.

Local points of interest from
The Ebrington Arms:

  • Gorgeous walks around Foxcote Manor and up to the famous Hidcote Manor National Trust and Kiftsgate (private) gardens. Chipping Campden is on the doorstep, said to have the most beautiful High Street in all of England. Perfect base for Cotswold villages
  • Independently owned for 13 years we are certified organic by the Soil Association for our commitment to organic food (bedroom toiletries too!). Complimentary sherry in bedrooms on arrival and all rooms have gorgeous country views
  • We brew three of our own organic beers - our 'Yubby bitter' is named after the old village name of Yubberton and locals still talk of going 'up the Yubby' meaning the pub. Lots of delicious organic wines to choose from too
  • Full of character, the building is nearly 400 years old and has been a pub for over 300 years! Expect roaring open fires, original flagstone floors and a friendly bunch of locals mingling with tourists that have managed to uncover our hidden gem!
  • The Good Pub Guide's 2019 Dining Pub of the Year, we have had 2 AA Rosettes for 9 consecutive years and have just been named one of The Telegraph's Top 'Foodie Pubs with Rooms'.
  • All of the famous Cotswold villages and towns are within easy reach but we are also only 11 miles from historic Stratford Upon Avon if you fancy a performance at the RSC or immersing yourself in Shakespeare's birthplace.
