Seven Tuns - Pub in Gloucestershire
Queen Street, Chedworth, GL54 4AE, Gloucestershire
England,
United Kingdom
Hiding in a lush valley – you can see why the Romans chose this spot - are the protected mosaics of Chedworth, a huge draw. Nearby, down several winding lanes, is the Seven Tuns, a handsome Cotswolds pub, once lost and forlorn, now transformed – thanks to landlord Liz. Now there are dog biscuits behind the bar (along with Hooky and Otter), roaring fires in grates, and a warm and modern décor. Menus change regularly and the food is superb. Try wood pigeon with carrot relish and coriander, hake fillet with fennel and tomato compote, Longhorn burger with brioche and frites, “finest British cheeses”, apple and berry crumble. Tuesday is steak night, Friday fish, and once a month you get a tasting menu paired with wines. It’s a place for foodies that’s for sure - but there’s open mic night, skittles too, and even toys for kids. Fabulous.
