The Cartford Inn - Pub in Lancashire
Cartford Lane
Little Eccleston, Preston, PR3 0YP, Lancashire
England,
United Kingdom
Patrick and Julie know how to run a great little inn: whisk up some stunning food, throw in a pinch of quirky style then add impeccable service. The restaurant and inn overlook the river Wyre, with the Trough of Bowland a spectacular backdrop. The front bar, with its roaring fire and friendly locals is a great place to stop for a pint of local ale, though a courtyard garden will draw you out in good weather. In typically relaxed style you can eat whatever you want wherever you want: enjoy a traditional French tartiflette, then venison Wellington, followed by blackberry curd tart, perhaps. Afterwards, you can work it off by following the river; a two-mile circular walk will spin you round. Fantastic.
