The Duke of Cambridge - Pub in London
The Duke of Cambridge
30 St Peter’s Street
Islington, London, N1 8JT, London
England, United Kingdom
Thanks to pioneering Geetie Singh, 'organic' and 'sustainable' are the watchwords at Britain's first organic pub, and British-rustic is the style. Wines, beers, spirits are certified organic and they buy as locally as they can to cut down on food miles. Most of the beers are brewed around London, meat comes from two farms, and fish is Marine Conservation Society-approved. Impeccable produce and menus change twice a day. It's a sprawling airy space with a comfortable, easy atmosphere; you could be alone happily here. Sit back and take your fill of broccoli, parsley & rosemary soup, pan-fried chorizo stuffed squid with puy lentils, Rhug estate “bangers” with colcannon mash, and blueberry & ricotta cheesecake with blueberry & elderflower sauce – in the lovely airy planked bar, or in the restaurant. Justifiably rammed.
