Sunday Cottage
Padstow,
Cornwall
England,
United Kingdom
What a lovely spot: beaches galore, and Padstow at your feet: cafés, restaurants and buzzing harbour. Here, just above, you are away from the madding crowd. Once the Sunday School to a nearby church, this pretty little cottage lives in happy harmony with its neighbour (School Cottage) right next door. Built in the 1800s and facing south, the Cornish slate still shines. Outside: parking space for two cars. Inside: a simple décor, traditional, cosy and inviting. The living and dining space are one, with cheerful blue sofas, a coal-effect fire and a window seat from which to observe the weather; on rainy days there are books to browse, music, WiFi, games and TV. The kitchen is bright and well-equipped should you decide not to eat out each night (though you'll be tempted...) Bedrooms continue the homely theme, with new pine beds and carpeted floors. The downstairs double was once the school hall – spacious still! – while the twin is up under the eaves with a cottagey feel. You can wash off a beach-worth of sand in the spotless bathroom upstairs... then settle in to your little Padstow home.
