A gorgeous village home of classic comforts, proper breakfasts and pretty garden gazebo – cocooned in stunning Cotswolds scenery

High in the Wolds, close to a sleepy village green, are a secluded house and garden where life ticks over beautifully inside and out. Rosewood mahogany, heaps of flowers, a pretty gazebo and a staircase lined with art – all this is the creation of Scottish-Canadian Alan, generous to a fault, a perfectionist in all he does. Marble bathrooms have heated floors while classic country bedrooms are full of deep-carpeted comfort. An immaculate, traditional drawing room and conservatory are yours to share. Wake to the prospect of a fine cooked breakfast, homemade jams, teas from all over the world. Marvellous.

"My husband took me to Fieldways as a surprise treat for our anniversary. We had a wonderful time. Alan and Pauline are the most amazing hosts. His roast duck is the best we have ever tasted!! The house and settings are gorgeous. We look forward to a return visit. "

"our family of four adults really enjoyed a weekend away from home in the country - rooms were well-kept and there were plenty of room to relax and unwind! A good place to chill whilst exploring the Cotswolds. Alan was a lovely host - recommendations for exploring the area and lovely breakfast too!"

"We've stayed in a number of Sawdays-listed B&Bs over the past 5 years. Each one has been of a high standard and we've had enjoyable visits. However, our trip to Fieldways B&B completely blew all the others out of the water! The house was beautiful, well-kept, clean and inviting. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and we slept very well. But, the real gem of Fieldways is its owner, Alan. He was the best host we've had yet. From the moment we stepped through the threshold, we were treated like old friends. He is clearly in his element when hosting travelers in his lovely B&B. Thanks for a great stay - we will be back!"

"Had a fantastic overnight stay at Fieldways, we were made to feel completely at home & Jasper (our Springer) was too! Alan - ou have a beautiful home. Many thanks for the 'Hollow Bottom' recommendation for supper, and for the loan of Flora for our walk the next day. Thoroughly recommend & look forward to a return visit soon. Best wishes, Nigel, Pauline & Jasper"
