Talented hosts offer pottery courses and serve breakfast in eclectic bedrooms in the old estate stables. Stroll to village pub and beach

A sylvan setting, stylish pottery, a young and talented family. The cobalt blues and rich browns of David’s ceramics fill the old stables of a Victorian manor house. Take pottery courses (one hour to a long weekend) or just enjoy the creative Mexican-inspired décor. A narrow staircase spirals up to a modern loft: crisp whites, cathedral ceiling with sunny windows, brilliant shower. The ground-floor garden suite has a patio (with a gorgeous Showman’s wagon!), sitting room, painted bed and optional children’s beds. Lucy brings breakfast to your room. Stroll to the beach: stretch out and you almost touch the Isle of Wight.

"The Garden Room is the holy grail for families with its separate sitting room and bedroom! We really enjoyed the homely, artistic suroundings for our 2 night stay and will definitely be back!"

"We went on one of Davids pottery courses and stayed in The Hayloft. It was delightful. In fact the second time we've been there. Big bedroom, big ensuite, well furnished, splendid full English breakfast, kind and attentive hosts. Its highly recommended and frankly a bit of a bargain. I am sure you wont regret it!"

"As well as being talented and young, Lucy and David are welcoming and enthusiastic hosts and have created two different B&B 'rooms' which share the joy of handmade pottery and being either above the potter's wheel or below the potter's showroom. We have just enjoyed three sunny days and had a splendid time. We enjoyed the extra space of the downstairs suite but saw the upstairs room and can attest to its charm. We particularly enjoyed a walk to Hurst Castle (though' you can get a ferry from Keyhaven), the walk from Highcliffe Castle to the entrance to Christchurch harbour and evening meals in Verveine. If you like seafood then do not miss this gem of a restaurant in Milford."
