Special Places to Stay - More than a bed for the night

Turbo-charged, 21st-century interior design awaits those lucky enough to book into this cool Georgian townhouse that stands in the middle of a pretty Norfolk village. It's a kaleidoscope of funky colours with electric greens and bubblegum pinks sitting alongside hand-painted wallpapers and contemporary chandeliers. It is a pleasure dome for the senses and a small fortune was spent putting it together. Ten massive lampshades hang above the dining table, vast sofas sprawl in a couple of hi-tech sitting rooms, you even get a bar in the cellar – your very own nightclub. Upstairs, bedrooms are equally psychedelic. One has Ionian columns flanking the bed, another comes with Chinese wallpaper, the odd padded headboard soars to the ceiling and claw-foot baths ensure a good soak. Outside, there's a hot tub in the coach house, but spin up to Old Hunstanton and find your very own beach hut, suitably attired in the latest fashion. Back at the house, there's a super garden where you can eat in fine weather and you don't even have to cook for yourself – a private chef and waiting staff can come in to do it for you, for one night or the whole stay. Tear yourself away (unlikely) and magical north Norfolk awaits. Not for the faint-hearted!
