Through impressive iron gates to a grand house in a spectacular setting with masses of room, and friendly owners Rupert and Serena who have young children of their own; they love having families to stay. Relaxed breakfasts (and dinner) at flexible times are served at one table; all is local and delicious. Large, light bedrooms and super-modern shared bathrooms are upstairs, have good views and feel private. Relax in the huge, creamy-yellow guest sitting room with sash windows, log fire, board games and comfy sofas; there’s also a heated pool, a play area, acres of garden, and the pub a walk away. Family heaven.

"We had a such a relaxing and enjoyable stay! The house and room were very comfortable and spacious, immaculately presented and quiet, set away from the main house in a private wing. Serena and Rupert were friendly, gracious and hospitable hosts and the breakfast each morning in the large hall looking out to the fantastic views was memorable indeed (the cooked breakfast was also the healthiest and tastiest I've ever had). Lots to do nearby too. Altogether an extremely pleasant and enjoyable stay!"

"A lovely place. We visited with our 6 month old and 3 year old. The bedrooms were perfect - beautiful views, big comfy beds, fluffy towels and black out blinds (the children even had a lie in - bliss!). Serena and Rupert were warm and welcoming and the little touches made a difference - leaving out books for bedtime stories and a bib and cutlery for our littlest at breakfast. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended."
