Only a few miles from Ipswich but down a green lane, this rambling farm house has a pretty, whitewashed porch and higgledy-piggledy roof. All light, elegant and spacious with wonderful flowers, art, sumptuous soft furnishings (made by Sally) and quirky sculptures; expect comfortable beds, laundered linen and smart bathrooms. Sally is relaxed and friendly and will give you eggs from her handsome hens, homemade bread, veg from the garden on an artistically laid table. Play tennis, swim, steam in the sauna or book one of Sally's arts and crafts courses, then wander in the woods beyond with beautiful dogs Shale and Rune.

"I hesitate to tell you too much about Poplar Farm in case, next time we want to stay there, it is full! The farm is a wonderful place, full of character and charm. The bedrooms are very comfy and the bathrooms luxurious. Sally is lovely and her cooking perfect. Walking around the garden is like going on a treasure hunt, with a surprise around every corner. We felt so spoilt. And we can't believe that we have found a B&B which will take our dogs too! We will definitely be visiting again."
