It's nicely private here, up a bird-filled lane, and you stay in a stunning converted dairy near to the Lodge where charming owners James and Hannah live. Two super bedrooms are filled with cleverly sourced furniture – if you fall in love with anything you can buy it and take it home! Beds are deeply comfy, linen is crisp, fabrics are luxurious and the bathroom is immaculate with underfloor heating and Moroccan tiles. It's all on one floor with a lovely shared sitting/dining room; an organic breakfast is brought to you at a time you choose so you can snooze for longer. Good pubs and restaurants are near; perfect for friends.

"Hannah and James are fantastic hosts. Mayes Park Lodge is such a gem, charming place with a lot of character, with beautiful surroundings. The accommodations are very stylish, so comfortable and cosy. Their hospitality was very warm and I highly recommended to anyone looking for the perfect enchanting country escape!"

"Hannah and James are the most caring and delightful hosts. Our stay was very comfortable and tranquil. My sister requires a very special diet and Hannah provided the most amazing selection of suitable foods - which we all enjoyed. Finding that many years ago we had stayed with Hannah's mother at another Sawday special place actually came as no great surprise as Hannah seems to have a perfect hostess gene in her blood! We were visiting the area in order to attend an event but hope to visit Mayes Park again soon as it is a very special corner of the world. The recent arrival of a beautiful baby has not diminished Hannah & James' attention to their guests. Anyone who has a weekend free should visit Mayes Park and will linger longer than imagined!
