Frog Cottage
Steeple Langford, Salisbury,

England,
United Kingdom
In a reassuringly quaint Wiltshire village your diminutive end-of-terrace cottage has a striking brick façade. Trip up the short path straight into a beamed and spot-lighted living room with roaring log fire, muted walls, silk curtains, plump sofa and chairs, and an antique writing desk. All is perfectly peaceful. Up a step to the gleaming kitchen, packed with Villeroy and Bosch crockery and all you need to whip up a feast – Tracie will even fill the fridge with goodies before you arrive. A wooden table with cheery tablecloth, a bench and chairs, seats six for supper. Upstairs are two calming bedrooms – one with a huge double bed, one smaller, both dressed in classy furnishings, fabrics and floral curtains (made by clever Tracie) and toe sinking carpets. The shared bathroom is pristine and comes with Molton Brown smellies and views to the garden at the back of the house; you wander out through the kitchen to the long, grassy garden with apple and hazel trees and a newly built sun house. And you may spot a frog or two! It’s a short meander through the village to Langford Lakes; find a picnic set in the house. Nearby Berwick St James has an excellent pub, The Boot, whilst mystical Stonehenge and Salisbury’s medieval cathedral are close too.
