Settle into a slower pace of living - birdsong and breeze the only sounds disturbing the peace. Local food, generous beds, a wild garden

Arrive through rolling countryside – birdsong and breeze the only sound; within moments you will be sprawled on a leather sofa admiring modern art and wondering how a little bit of Milan arrived here along with Huw and homemade cake. A place to come and pootle, with no rush; you can stay all day to stroll the fern-fringed paths through the acres of wild garden to a lake and a grand bench, or opt for hearty walking. Your bed is big, the colours are soft, the bathrooms are spotless and the food is local – try all the Welsh cheeses. Wide beaches are close by, red kites and buzzards soar above you. Pulchritudinous.

"I had a lovely 3 night stay at Ffynnon Fendigaid. Huw was a perfect host - he had even organised glorious weather! The room was perfect - wonderful attention to detail and beautifully clean. Breakfast was delicious - you will need a long walk if you want to keep the pounds off! All in all a great place to stay - I'll be going back!"

"This is a truly exceptional B&B. Comfortable, clean, attractive, & furnished with style. There are books & maps that visitors can use. The owner is pleasant, & helpful. & the breakfast is very good (particularly the local ham & sausages). It could easily have been more expensive. & I recommend that you stay there before he realises this !"

"We stayed here for 6 nights during May 2011 and I can highly recommend it. A charming house, delightful grounds, comfortable bedrooms, very modern bathrooms, excellent breakfasts, and a friendly and informative host. Well placed to explore some beautiful countryside with hidden bays on the coast only 3 miles away."

"This really is a beautiful place to stay. It must be one of the cleanest and well presented B & B's we have ever stayed in and we are dissapointed that we could only be here for 1 night. Huw was a perfect host and his advise on where to eat was excellent. If you like Italian food do not miss La Calabria. We will be back and hopefully next time for longer!"
