Warmth, colour, children and activity: this house is fun. Tiggy welcomes you like family; help collect eggs, feed the lambs or the pony, drop your shoes by the fire. The farmhouse and barn are stylishly relaxed; deep sofas, tartan throws, heaps of books, views to the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains. Bedrooms are soft, simple sanctuaries with Jo Malone bathroom treats. The two children’s rooms zing with murals; toys, kids’ sitting room, sandpit – child heaven. Walk, fish, canoe, book-browse in Hay or stroll the estate. Homemade cakes, whisky to help yourself to: fine hospitality.

"Where to start. Fabulously welcoming home, with a fabulously welcoming host. Our kids (4 and 21 months) were made to feel very special and very 'at home' from the minute we arrived. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to young families. We'll certainly be back."

"I stayed at Tiggy's pad with my daughter who is 16 and has Down's Syndrome, we both had a wonderful time. Tiggy is more than welcoming and made my daughter feel very special. Ty'r Chanter is a gorgeous and welcoming place. We felt totally at home and I recognised that Tiggs is the best and most caring hostess EVER ! A lovely time awaits anyone who travels this way and stays with this engaging family. Bless you -we will be back."

"A Home from Home, Tiggy and her family welcomed us with such warmth & an amazing chocolate cake! We enjoyed breathtaking views from the comfort of the lounge through the floor to ceiling windows whilst Tiggy did everything and more to ensure we were constantly 'looked after'. Tiggy is the life of the B&B; she is open, engaging, kind & a pleasure to spend time with making our stay one we shall never forget. We have already planned our next stay! Our experience was that it absolutely surpassed any expectation we had. We loved it! "

"We spent three wonderful nights at Ty'r Chanter - The accommodation was very comfortable, set in a beautiful setting, breakfasts and teas delicious and Tiggy was fantastic with the children, taking them to feed the chickens and the dogs."

"What a wonderful stay...genuinely family friendly, so much so we struggled to find out 6 year old son as he disappeared to join Tiggy's two boys to play. We were made to feel very welcome and had comfortable rooms with the best sheets I have ever slept in. Gorgeous breakfast and lovely little touches. My son was given a min mars bar and carton of juice for the steep walk back from the river. A beautiful part of the world and can thoroughly recommnend it We will return."

"We had a wonderful and generous welcome, nothing was too much trouble and Tiggy's home was our home. We stayed for my birthday celebration and she put bunting up and made me a delicious chocolate cake. Wonderful comfortable beds, delightful bedrooms and glorious countryside. She quickly became a friend and we look forward to going back very soon. A memorable stay."

"Ty'r Chanter is one of those few places which exceeds one's expectations arrived at after reading the comments made in the guide. The location itself together with the enormous welcome and the constant "nothing is too much of a problem"approach from Tiggy, makes it a very special place. The walks, all very well explained, are across some of the most beautiful countryside in the UK and then the return to huge, hot baths and a big tea with those flapjacks, made it a place which we long to return to."
