Special Places to Stay - More than a bed for the night

A treat to live in a real French town, rich with history yet tourist-free. A treat to stay in an elegant house: mellow, airy, southern and discreet. The kitchen upstairs is superb: chic, sleek, with a carved stone fireplace, a long wooden table, beautiful antique chairs. Walls are painted in neutral colours, floors are flagged, there's modern art above the big double bed and a fabulous bathroom. This is the land of sunshine and dreams: Roman Nimes, medieval Uzes, beaches, sand dunes and the Pont du Gard. As for little Calvisson, it has a sprinkling of everything: restaurants, creperies, flower shops, bakeries, and a delightful Sunday market. Should you wish to come with another family or friends, then rent the house next door – equally charming and through the garden gate.
