A wonderful, characterful place to stay, with a very warm welcome from gracious hosts, a beautiful building and elegant, spacious bedroom, all very well equipped. Delicious breakfasts served in the large dining room and plenty of safe parking. Close to La Rochelle and Ile de Re where we had a very enjoyable day trip. We would strongly recommend this BnB and intend to return.

Very welcoming hosts with a beautiful local mansion. Well situated in the countryside near La Rochelle, Ile de Ré etc. Rooms decorated with taste. Breakfast is a nice start of the day with all guests around the table.

We have been coming to this lovely B&B for many years and have recognised the improvements that Patrick and Brigitte continue to make. They are a delightful couple and speak good English. Evening meals are a delight and the breakfast is enough to satisfy anyone's appetite. The bedrooms and bathrooms are excellent. Well located and not far from La Rochelle and the Isle de Re'. We will return!

We have had two nights at le clos de la Garenne recently. We so enjoyed the first visit that we arranged another night there on our return journey. Brigitte and Patrick were such delightful hosts and we loved their house and garden. We look forward to another visit before too long.

Delightful hosts and Brigitte was highly organised and helpful. Room was great with fabulous new shower room. The eclectic mix of home made conserves at breakfast was delicious and fun to try, with her home made breads.

We stayed a week and enjoyed every minute. The stunning countryside and wonderful wildlife made for a relaxing cycling holiday. Couple this with the hospitality, friendliness and good humour of Brigitte and Patrick, and we could have wanted for nothing more.

We have stayed many times over the years at Le Clos de la Garenne. Brigitte and Patrick are excellent hosts and their accommodation has everything you need for a good holiday. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as a great place to stay .

This is the fourth time that we have stayed here on our way down to the Dordogne. It is excellent. Brigitte and Patrick are wonderful hosts, the evening meals are very tasty and exceptional value. The rooms are all very clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast with Brigitte's home made jams are memorable. A super place to stay to either break your journey or to satay for a few nights to explore the area. We will return!
