Mylène and Elizabeth love the outdoors, hence their five-year fight to reincarnate a fallen ruin as a luxury mountain retreat. Join them for gourmet dinner under soaring, raftered ceilings in the grand living space which hovers above Tignes dam. Or soak in the terrace hot tub under the stars; there's a sauna too. Urban rusticity, mountain chic: the place reeks Italian style yet is impossibly hidden in this tiny hamlet. For daytime adventure: the slopes at Val d'Isère, or Tignes, or the Vanoise park. Just ask Elizabeth, off-piste skier extraordinaire.

"We first discovered Chalet Colinn as a very special (much overused but true in this case) ski Chalet. The combination of Elizabeth & Mylene's expertise , local knowledge and of course the spectacular location of the Chalet really made us feel apart from the general holiday herd . This summer we returned and the experience was, if anything, even better with fabulous walks and cycle rides amongst the local flora and fauna. "It was like being in a zoo today" said Elizabeth afer a walk in the Sassiere valley, and she was right. The only problem we now have is deciding on winter or summer holidays"
