Allow yourself a sigh of pleasure as you arrive: with its sash windows, slate roof and sensitive extension, this charming seaside cottage on a beautiful part of the coast is all you hope for and seldom find. Set below the road in its own simple, private garden, it comes with long soft views of the beach and Courtmacsherry Bay. You go through the traditional half door straight into the sitting room to be greeted by an open fire, simple, well-chosen country furniture and plenty of space for four in Elizabeth's hallmark cosy-comfy décor. The new part is an accurate reflection of the old, walls are painted white or done with attractive limed tongue-and-groove timber, original watercolours and decent prints alongside check and gingham fabrics all emphasise the cottagey look. The neat little bedrooms have new beds, the bathrooms (one in a heated outhouse) have new showers, the traditionally furnished dining/kitchen area has good natural light – indeed the whole cottage is exceptionally well-lit. Ideal for a couple or a family with young children looking for a classic seaside holiday.

"Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage with us, Katherine and I had a fantastic week exploring west cork and relaxing in front of the open fire. We would not hestitate to recommend your cottage to our friends and hope to return in the coming years."

"We had a wonderful 2 week stay in this beautiful, light, surprisingly spacious but cosy traditional cottage. Everything was just right, we were met and shown round on arrival, the cottage was exceptionally clean and well presented, lovely homely decor with a real cottagey feel and a fully equipped kitchen. We had everything we needed, even fuel for the fire, which was lovely after a day at the beach. Access to the beach is just across the road, and the views are breathtaking. I loved the choice of books on the shelves, cupboards well stocked with games/ dvds, though with the weather we had, lots of time was spent lounging in the garden, and on the beach. I have no hesitation in reccommending this beautiful cottage, thank you for a fantastic holiday!"
