The Parlour & The Dairy

Bath, Bath & N.E. Somerset

There's a quiet rural feel here but you're just 15 minutes from Bath. Return to 2 very well thought out, extremely comfortable spaces

2 places

Each sleep 4

Find a sweet hamlet with a village green, owner Alex’s house and two niftily converted old cowsheds, both with their own personality. The Dairy has a very practical, child-friendly living space with vintage Chesterfield sofa and chairs, bright cushions, a painted toy cupboard and a wood-burner; the kitchen is dressed in cheery mint green and has a cottagey feel. The Parlour is sleeker, more modern with a big linen sofa, a massive TV screen and a snazzier kitchen. Both have all the gear a happy cook may need, including recipe books to inspire. You’ll sleep well in  beds with Hungarian goose down and super soft cotton, a cosy wool blanket at your feet; bathrooms are spick and span with fluffy towels and Bramley soaps. Thanks to Alex’s excellent eye for charming things, some modern, some upcycled, there’s always something uplifting to look at in both spaces and you are left generous organic breakfasts for the first day. Each has a gravelled area with table and chairs and views over open countryside, there are excellent walks from the door and a pony trekking centre nearby. Days out to Bath and Longleat are easy.

Had a lovely time here. Very clean and modern. Great location for strolls in the surrounding fields and woods, as well as for visits into Bath. Will definitely visit again and will be recommending to friends.
