The Experience

While away your days exploring Hove and Brighton before settling down for the night in this sanctuary – a very restful spot to lay one’s head. Interior designer Zoe has exceptional taste – and you’ll find organic goodies to cover your first breakfast.

Wander the seafront for brightly coloured beach huts, an iconic bandstand and fabulous people-watching. Pizza from Hove’s favourite pizzeria and a beer at the nearby craft beer bar or an evening at the ‘secret’ Thai restaurant (Zoe and Fabio recommend highly) will keep you fed and watered.

There are organic sheets on the beds, piles of books and games, Netflix on a projector and screen, and a bottle of wine to enjoy them all with. In summer spill into the lovely garden for al fresco suppers and stroll to the beach in five minutes to watch the sun go down.

We had such a fantastic stay in this apartment. Zoe, Fabio (and Otis) made the whole trip so mellow, comfortable and effortless - as well as fun. The apartment itself is beautifully done and such a cosy place to return to after a day out or on the beach. There is such attention to detail throughout the whole place. The projector is a great touch for the evenings and theres a great bath / shower too. It's so clean and comfortable - the shared garden is a such a wild, beautiful spot too.

Aneil, London

A wonderful peaceful haven but a stones throw from the sea and wonderful bars and restaurants .Beautifully decorated, wonderful furniture and wanted to stay longer

I first stayed in a Sawday’s property 20 years ago but this one was the best yet. Fabio was brilliant at responding to the initial booking and subsequent questions. He gave us a great welcome when we arrived and showed us around telling us everything we needed to know. The flat itself was beautiful, like staying at your best friend’s house, if your best friend had wonderful taste in furnishings and decoration. There was everything we could possibly need. I’m a real stickler for quality bedlinen and this didn’t disappoint. Location wise it was perfect, I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Libby, Pewsey

A superb property. Beautifully presented and spotlessly clean - extremely well provided for and comfortable, as well some lovely fresh food on arrival. Brilliant location in a really nice residential area and easy walking distance to the some excellent local restaurants/coffee shops, the beach and Brighton. Fabio was extremely helpful in making the arrangements and welcoming us to his property. Would thoroughly recommend and we plan to stay again in the summer.

James, London

As soon as I entered the flat, not only was I made to feel very welcome by Zoe and Fabio, but I knew this must have been created by someone with taste, talent and imagination. There are so many lovely touches including bare brick walls, crafted wood, baskets and pieces of coral and stone. Zoe and Fabio's commitment to being organic even extends to the light fittings which are all in wood!

The neighbourhood

This Victorian property is moments away from the grand buildings of Palmeira Square. Walk to Brighton (or hop on a bus) for vintage shops, delicious eateries, the beach and culture. Hove has a lot to offer too; lounge on the grass by the sea or wander the museum. Nearby buses will take you to Brighton station, or Hove station is a 10-minute walk.

Local points of interest from Fabio & Zoe

  • UniThai is our favourite secret Thai restaurant. A hidden gem in the back of an asian supermarket and only two minutes away from the apartment. You can bring your own drinks. Its very laid back and friendly. They have odd opening times, check before you go
  • If you fancy getting some fresh air in your lungs you can either take the bus, hike or drive to Devils Dyke and enjoy the panoramic view over Sussex and go for a pint at the nearby pub.
  • For everyone with young children the Sea Life Centre in Brighton is right next to the Pier and great for a rainy day out with the kids. Book at least 24hours in advance to get a good deal.
  • Brighton and Hove's bucket list: The Royal Pavilion, Brighton Dome, the quirky independent shops of the North and South Laines, the i360 and a walk along the promenade.
  • Pubs: The Better Half, The Lion and Lobster, the Urchin (pub and seafood restaurant), the Westbourne. Restaurants: Chard, Riddle & Finns, Plateau, We Love Falafel (Takeaway), Terre A Terre, Shiraz, Chilli Pickle, Fato A Mano and many many more.
  • Last but not least igigi Generalstore and igigi Womans Boutique are a short walk away from the apartment and if you like the interior you will love the shops.
