The Experience

You’re away from main roads down a quiet country lane, so bring all you need and settle in. Downstairs is open plan, traditional and comfortable with a log-burner in the sitting room end, along with TV, books and games and the dining table. The kitchen is a few steps down – you’ll find tea and coffee in the cupboards.

Stroll to The White Hart at Ludgvan (20 minutes) for craft beers and good food – they’ve got a nice garden at the back for sunny days. Serious walkers can join the final three miles of the north-to-south footpath to St Michael’s Mount, or take on a section of the South West Coast Path around the peninsula. Return to fire up the barbeque in your utterly secluded suntrap of a garden, where you’ll hear only birdsong.

Bedrooms are well dressed with good linen, and you’ll find soaps and shampoos in the bathroom. It’s very cosy and extremely quiet but near to a village and lovely beaches – Marazion is 10 minutes by car.

Reviews

Lovely week with good weather apart from the St Ives sea mist! Comfortable and traditional clean cottage.

Jean

Our holiday at Angwinack Cottage was lovely! The perfect base to explore Cornwall as a family of 3. The beds were comfortable and it has all the amenities that you need. It’s perfectly located, quiet and only 10min drive from Penzance and Marazion and 15 mins from St Ives. Would definitely recommend a visit!

Iona, London

Perfectly located for all the sights of this area of Cornwall (Penzance, Land's End, St Michael's Mount, Mousehole, St Ives), this delightful and well equipped cottage has character and everything you need. Stunning views of St Michael's Mount from the village. Peacefully tucked away with a lovely garden and yet just a hop and a skip from the A30 and everywhere that takes you, we would highly recommend this lovely cottage.

Location

The neighbourhood

This is great for children or dogs because of the enclosed garden, but it's also a romantic hideaway for a couple or keen walkers. You'll feel remote but you're actually very close to St Ives, Penzance and lots of villages in between. Marazion is a short drive and has a lovely sandy beach; or head to Newlyn for the best crab and fish, ice cream at Jelbert’s and the super new addition of the Film House.

Local points of interest from Bernadeta Morris

  • The cottage is a short drive from many of West Cornwall's most beautiful towns including St Ives (home to the Tate Gallery), Porthleven (a foodie's heaven), Mousehole (a stunning fishing village) and Marazion (St Michael's Mount).
  • The St Michael's Way public footpath, connecting Lelant (Porthkidney Beach - one of the few all year round dog beaches) to Marazion and St Michael's Mount runs right past the property.
  • The cottage has it own orchard less than 25m down the lane which guests are welcome to explore and pick their own apples for crumbles and pies.
  • Superbly located for access to the Lands End peninsula and many of West Cornwall's most picturesque beaches including Porthcurno (home to the stunning Minnack Theatre), Sennen, Marazion and many others!

Introducing

Bernadeta Morris

The house has been in the Morris family for generations - in fact the great great Grandfather of Bernadeta’s husband, was born in the cottage. It’s a much-loved holiday home and one filled with wonderful memories. Many of the family have married in the local church a stone's throw away. They hope you will enjoy a proper Cornish holiday here and make your own memories.
