Perched high on the tip of Britain’s southernmost point, by beach and coastal paths, an immaculate guest house with spellbinding sea views

This is almost as close to the sea as you can get and there are Atlantic views at every turn. Watch the sunset from the west-facing terrace that juts out over the very edge of Cornwall.

Inside, the attention to detail is immaculate. You’ll feel smart wearing a Ralph Lauren dressing gown in your antique and art-filled bedroom. Space too for lounging with DVDs and an iPod dock.

Scramble down to secluded beaches; play golf nearby; stroll to the famous Lizard Lighthouse just yards away and join the coastal path that leads you in both directions. You can hear the waves breaking from the garden, so rest here under rustling palms and hovering kestrels. Breakfast is outstanding – choose almost anything, all sourced locally and served with John’s homemade bread and jams.

The views from Bay House are spectaular! We had a wonderful stay; our room was very comfortable and it was great to be able to walk straight from the B&B to the coastal path and round to Kynance cove. We were welcomed with a cream tea on arrival which went down a treat!

Friendly owners Carla and John were drawn to the property by the spectacular views. City slickers turned country lovers, they’ll happily share a glass of wine and chat with you – and they’ll even cook you a private dinner if you ask ahead.
