Up the steps to the garden then through French doors to the very attractive open-plan space with wooden floors, pretty rugs and a high, beamed ceiling. Settle in comfy sofas, light the wood-burning stove (first logs provided) and discover lots of games, toys and books. The kitchen, part of this space, has a posh coffee machine and you’re left a bottle of wine and basics like olive oil and coffee beans.
Two bedrooms and the bathroom are also down here so everything is quite cosy – you’ll have to actually like the people you come away with. Up the spiral staircase from the sitting room is the third bedroom – ceilings are low here so mind your head. On sunny days you’ll be enjoying the L-shaped patio with its little table and chairs, hammock and glimpses of sea, or you’ll be heading off to one of the many beaches nearby.
You’re just a five-minute walk from the main shopping street for a good butcher, baker (Tom’s bread) and other independent shops, cool bars and restaurants.
