Nursery teas for the tots and grown-up suppers later for parents. Fun farmyard play areas, swings in the orchard - this is family heaven

Families rejoice: come if you have a child under seven! Bring older siblings too. Celtic crosses in the garden and original panelling hint at the 500-year history of this friendly, busy farmhouse. Bedrooms have comfy beds, toys and large TVs; soaps are handmade; allergy-friendly and ecological too with biomass energy and local real nappies. Nursery teas begin at 5pm, grown-up suppers are later and Lucy will cheerfully babysit while you slink off to the pub. Farm-themed playgrounds are safe and fun, there are piglets, lambs, goats, chicks, eggs to collect, pony and trap rides, a sand barn and cream teas in the garden. Lovely atmosphere.

  • We are just a few minutes walk from the start of the Camel trail, you could walk to Padstow if you are feeling fit or hire a bike from the children friendly Snails Pace Cafe. Even a short stroll and back there for tea and cake-bliss!
  • Want a lazy day? You can now enjoy a swim and jacuzzi followed by coffee and cake in the sunshine on our farm. The a beautiful walk through our woodlands along the banks of the river Camel otter spotting or pond dipping.
  • We're a short walk from Bodmin moor, the stuff legends are made from. King Arthurs Hall, Delphi bridge, Roughtor, The cheese ring are all within easy reach and wonderful to explore with children too.
  • St Breward is home to the highest pub in Cornwall The Old Inn. Children friendly, but a great escape on babysitting nights for parents. There's a good varied menu with plenty of vegetarian choices, and a good Sunday carvery too.
  • Back on our farm there's so much to explore and discover with your children it's hard to know where to begin. Be a farmer working on a mini tractor, a policeman catching robbers to take to our custom made police station, or a digger driver in the sandpit!
  • Take advantage of our new biomass heated endless swimming pool, we are doing daily baby and childrens fun swim sessions and offering 1 to 1 coaching and teaching for children and adults too. Want to perfect your front crawl breathing? we can help!
