The Experience

These cottages are cosy, colourful and unpretentious so you’ll feel relaxed. There are books, games and TVs indoors and there’s plenty of space to spread out. It’s a sociable place, with lots going on, but you also have your own patch of garden with a firepit, barbecue and sun loungers. Kitchens have all the stuff you need for cooking but if you’d rather not bother you can have home cooked meals delivered.

You’re down a small track surrounded by bucolic views and with glimpses of the river heading to Looe. Walks from the door are plentiful and it’s a very dog-friendly place with a large dog paddock, showers and towels. Children will make friends with others (including goats and pigs), there is a riding school on site, forest school in the holidays, tennis, table tennis and an outdoor pool in summer.

While they’re doing that you can sit in the sauna, book a massage, or retreat to the garden with a book and a glass of wine.

Laurel is a lovely cottage for four people. The welcoming atmosphere meets you as you enter the door and your holiday starts there. We have stayed at Laurel for many years. Our son was quite young when we first visited and still loves to return with us, plus girlfriend when he can. The cottage is beautifully furnished with a very well equipped kitchen. The garden is delightful, very sheltered with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. One of the big advantages of Laurel, is its close proximity to the swimming pool, as we swim each morning during stay. 100% recommendation.

We have stayed in Jasmine every summer since approx 2000! It is absolutely beautiful, immaculately presented and every time we visit, there has been something new even though we can never see how it could be improved. Jasmine is perfect for a couple or family of 4, it has a pretty private garden, cosy living room and a wonderful conservatory with the beautiful "Treworgey view". We cannot recommend it highly enough.

Come to Treworgey for family-friendly holidays; children will love it here and it's a gorgeous spot for adults too. Cottages are comfortable and charming, views are lovely and you'll not get bored with so much to do on-site. You're in a great part of Cornwall too, for when you do want to venture out.

Location

The neighbourhood

You're surrounded by fields and there are friendly goats, chickens, ducks, guinea pigs and proper pigs to pat. You can walk to the local pub, The Plough, in 40 minutes through fields and some (small) roads. A longer hike will take you all the way to Looe via Kilminorth woods - about two hours each way. Looe has a good beach, shops, fish and chips and cafés - try The Kitchenside Bakery.

Walk through the country lanes to our lovely local village pub, The Plough, for delicious food and local ale and cider. Dogs and children welcome!
The picturesque fishing town of Looe is just 3 miles away. Stroll through narrow streets and step through ancient tiny doorways into atmospheric restaurants and pubs, take an ice cream to the safe, sandy beach or get your crabbing lines out on the pier.
A short drive away you can test your nerves at the action-packed Adrenaline Quarry where you can fly over a huge lake on a zip wire, brave the free-fall swing or leap from high platforms into the quarry lake! A brilliant way to keep teenagers entertained.
Inland from Treworgey you can explore the wild and wonderful Bodmin Moor, where dramatic tors rise above windswept expanses of springy grass, gorse and heather. See the old mine engine houses and meet the wild ponies or go wild swimming in an old quarry.
Less than 1/2 an hour's drive will bring you to the beautiful town of Lostwithiel, famous for it's array of quirky antiques shops. Meander through the pretty streets and pick up interesting keepsakes from the friendly shopkeepers.
Boat trips from our local town of Looe include glass-bottomed boats that glide around Looe Island while the skipper entertains you with local folklore, or mackerel fishing trips out to see from which you can bring back your catch for the barbecue.

Introducing

Holly & Andy Kyte

This is a family business and still a working farm. The outbuildings, all in ruins when Linda and Bevis bought the farm over 40 years ago, have slowly been converted into cottages. Daughter Holly is front of house now with her husband Andy, but Linda is still Head Gardener and Bevis runs the farm. One of their aunts does the home cooked food and cousins help out too. You're well looked after.
