The Experience
Drive round the bend of a narrow lane lined with high banks of wildflowers to discover Trevigue. From the garden, a short walk on the cliff path takes you down to Strangles, a beach that you could well have to yourselves for swimming, rock-pooling and games of beach cricket.
Inside the open spaces flow together – ditch your wetsuit in the gear room, get the kettle on as you walk through the kitchen, then slump onto the sofas by the wood-burner set in the huge brick fireplace. The range cooker and the large kitchen’s dark-beamed farmhouse warmth invite sociable meals but you can wander the mile and a half of country paths to a lovely pub sitting almost in the surf at Crackington Haven.
Bring your long-neglected projects and let the boundless views, local art, ever-changing book selection and spectacular sunrises refresh your creativity.

Its such a great cottage. Another amazing stay at the farm. We (me my wife and two girls) were lucky enough to get down for the weekend to stay with my mum and dad who have rented the cottage which is just such a comfortable place to stay. The location is just beautiful and Crackington is a magic beach- never too crowded. If you are looking for peace and quiet and great accommodation this is the place to stay.

Location
The neighbourhood
Trevigue is perched on the cliffs of North Cornwall above a nearly private beach only reached via a footpath. It's right on the Atlantic Highway, giving you access to beaches all along the coast, like the hidden gem Bossiney Cove, between Tintagel and Boscastle. The nearest shop for basics is 3 miles away at Wainhouse Corner. A great pub, The Coombe Barton Inn, is a 20-minute walk at Crackington Haven, with a lovely terrace for star-studded night skies or sunny afternoons. On the hill above Port Isaac, about 30-mins drive, is the eponymous Restaurant Nathan Outlaw, one of the many fine eateries in the area.
Local points of interest from Gayle Crocker
- We are right on top of the cliff footpath with amazing views and walking. There is an amazing nearly private beach below our farm accessed via a footpath. Also an ancient woodland walk to the sea at Crackington Haven.
- The peace and tranquility here is second to none. It is a perfect spot for star gazing being one of the darkest places in the world with virtually zero light pollution.
- Resident conservation expert who runs guided wild life walks and moonlit badger walks!
- Tintagel castle (King Arthur's). There is an awesome new bronze statue of King Arthur perched on the cliffs. There is a tall man in Tintagel who this was modelled on!
- Bude 1930s sea pool which is 88 meters long. Swim longer than an Olympic size pool.
- World-renowned geological folding of rocks at the local beach of Millook on the coastal road to Bude.

Introducing
Gayle Crocker
The Crockers have lived and farmed at Trevigue for over 40 years, putting their hearts and souls into working with the land, not just on it. They are passionate about using the farm to enhance and protect the environment. They say that they, and many of their guests, find the isolation here addictive, with the coast just a stone's throw away and the remote beach giving them space to relax and be inspired by the countryside. You might well meet them hiking on the cliffs, strolling through the ancient woodland or down on the sand.
A stunning location, and a beautiful cottage, equipped to a high specification. Everything was very comfortable, with lots of privacy, peace and quiet.
