The
Experience
The tree-lined approach is steep and spectacular; the cottage sits in 11 wondrous acres which overlook the River Dart and Sharpham Estate (local vineyard.) Richard is a gifted gardener and happy to guide you round his fascinating gardens with its magical woodland trail and enviable range of hydrangeas. Find a quiet spot to read or absorb the tranquility with tea on the terrace. The house itself is comfortable and calm – rooms look over the sweeping valley and garden. The old-fashioned twin room has a balcony and large, recently refurbished bathroom with a walk in shower. The pretty village, vineyard café and pub are a short walk away.

Local points of interest from Richard Pitts & David Sykes
- The Dart Valley trail goes past the top of the drive. Walk to Dartmouth and get the Ferry or Steam Train back to Totnes.
- Visit our neighbours the Sharham Vineyard and Dairy. A wonderful way to see the Dart valley whilst tasting local wine and cheese.
- Enjoy having the garden to yourselves and do ask Richard about any of the unusual trees and shrubs that have taken your fancy.
- Good N.T properties nearby including Agatha Christie's Greenway and Coleton Fishacre built for the D'Oyly Carte family.
- There is a wonderful variety of wildlife present in the garden for you to discover.

The house and garden and the big and comfortable sleeping rooms are wonderful. Richard was very friendly and served us the best breakfast on our tour.
