The
Experience

You’re near to pretty Salcombe but it’s deeply peaceful here and Caroline is brimming with ideas (especially food-related) to help you unwind. Over two acres of garden are yours to wander and there are plenty of spots to sit with a book or practice yoga. You’ll also find a gate to a footpath which takes you to North Sands beach, the South West Coast path and the Winking Prawn restaurant.

Breakfast is a real treat, taken in the dining room or out on the view-filled terrace and much is from the garden in season. Choose from oats soaked in almond milk with chia seeds, yogurt, fruit and honey; homemade granola; seasonal greens with hummus, quinoa and sunflower seeds, or a big Beadon breakfast with eggs however you like them.

It’s a 15-minute walk into the centre of Salcombe for shops, art galleries and good places to eat; it’s great fun to sit by the harbour with an ice cream watching the boats, and people, come and go. Return to much comfort in your room or to the orchard for a nap in the hammock.

Caroline was a wonderful and welcoming host. The rooms were beautiful and the breakfast delicious! Definitely plan to return!

We were lucky that a friend recommended the Beadon Farmhouse in Salcombe, Devon to us as it was a great place to spend a few days. Tucked away in a lovely alcove with a gorgeous garden and views of beautiful countryside down to the water, we were met by Caroline the inspiration for this amazing place. Just a short 10 minute walk to the sea, every convenience was provided: a lovely decorated and comfortable room with an impressive bathroom, great wifi, TV, and a breakfast to order. We have spent many a night in B&Bs throughout England, but Beadon was the best compliment to Salcombe.

Staying in Beadon Farmhouse made our long weekend in Salcombe very pleasant. Although situated on the edge of a residential area, it feels like an oasis in the middle of the country side due to its position and its views. The wild flower garden truly adds to that feel. A path just outside the house offers a great walk into Salcombe via North Sands. Caroline is a very attentive but far from overbearing landlady. The breakfast was lovely and gave us a great start to the days. The room felt very welcoming with a fair amount of space and a very comfortable bed. Great atmosphere all around.

Beadon Farmhouse is without doubt one of the loveliest places that I have stayed. We were met by Caroline our host who made us feel so at home and spent a lot of time to settle us in, explaining all the wonderful things about the local area and is clearly such a perfectionist not just in the way she has done the accommodation but her kindness and attention to detail was perfection. The rooms are beautiful and such comfortable beds with white cotton sheets. There was even a beautiful beach basket hanging on the back door for that wild morning swim. I can not recommend it more.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Beadon Farmhouse! It is set in a beautiful organic garden, a true little paradise. Very comfortable room (Thyme). Easy and beautiful walk through the forest to the village of Salcombe and nearby beaches. Caroline was a very charming and caring host! Delicious breakfast outside in the beautiful garden - heaven! Can't wait to go back.

Extremely comfortable, welcoming place to stay. Delicious breakfast, gorgeous garden, great bed, walking distance to centre of Salcombe. Couldn't have wished for anything more during our stay, nothing was too much effort for our host. Highly recommend

Sarah, West sussex

The property, breakfasts and garden were superb and Caroline couldn’t have done more to make our stay enjoyable.

We had a wonderful stay at Beadon Farm, perched at the top of a beautiful valley just outside Salcombe. Rooms are light and stylishly furnished, and ours (Thyme) had a fabulous view over the Mediterranean-style garden and the hills beyond. Hostess Caroline was kindness itself and gave us invaluable guidance for choosing restaurants, walks and places to explore. The breakfast is delicious, with some unusual choices (I’m going to be making the soaked oats with chia seeds in almond milk) and there’s a complimentary g&t on the night of arrival. Very restful stay.

The most beautiful farmhouse we have ever stayed in! Caroline was the perfect host. We received such a warm welcome on arrival and a gin and tonic - perfect start to our stay. Me and partner stayed in the Thyme room, the view from our room was beautiful. Caroline is very knowledgeable on the area and gave us plenty of tips and recommendation for places to eat. The breakfast each morning set us up for the day, such a lovely treat. Homemade granola and herbs from the garden, all local produce. I can't recommend the farmhouse enough, we were sad to leave! Looking forward to staying there again.

Priti, London

This is a lovely farmhouse with very comfortable, clean rooms. Caroline is friendly and knowledgeable and an excellent host - tea and homemade cake on arrival, followed by a Salcombe gin, whilst we sat outside in the lovely wildflower garden with beautiful countryside views. Tasty, well cooked breakfast with a lot of options. Plenty parking area – walkable into the town. We were recommended to come here and we will definitely come back again.

Claire, Woking

We were so fortunate to discover the Beadon Farmhouse before a visit to Devon for a family wedding in May. Honestly, this lovely spot is so incredibly charming! We booked all three rooms and each one was decorated with so much care and with the most beautiful details. Our host, Caroline, could not have been nicer. She seemed to know just when we needed her and when we would be fine with time alone. We woke up to the most stunning Devon views from our window and so enjoyed the local gin and tonics in the afternoon. Caroline’s breakfasts were amazing, too! Just the perfect stay!

Our family of 5 had the pleasure of staying at The Beadon while visiting England for a wedding. Caroline was an excellent hostess, going out of her way to make us feel right at home. All the breakfasts were delicious and prepared with great care. The grounds of the Beadon are lovely, secluded within gorgeous English gardens with a beautiful view of rolling hills beyond.

Diana, New london new hampshire usa

Caroline was the perfect host and I immediately felt relaxed in her beautiful home. The gardens are stunning - I can see why taking a picnic rug onto the lawn with a bottle of wine might be more appealing than heading into town on a busy summer's evening. And what a location - a short stroll to North Sands down a secret path. Be quick before word catches on!
