Bulleigh Barton Manor

Everything about this visit was a pleasure. There was a warm welcome with an offer of cream tea. Our bedroom and en-suite were delightful, spacious and spotless. The breakfast each day was delicious with plenty of choice and generous portions. Liz and Mark were excellent hosts and more than happy to help in any way without being intrusive. Would definitely recommend.

Relaxation begins as soon as you arrive. You are served cream tea in the garden, the lounge with a view of the garden or in the dining room. The rooms are lovingly furnished, well kept, clean and lacking nothing. Every day you will find a delicious homemade cake in your room to enjoy with coffee or tea. Breakfast is in a class of its own and is prepared with local ingredients. Bulleigh Barton Manor is in a quiet location and allows you to escape from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives and yet you can reach Exeter, Totnes, Dartmoor and the coast for example without a long drive.

This is without question a gem. Peaceful relaxing spotlessly clean all in a beautiful location. Liz is a 1st class host extremely helpful & friendly. The breakfast (excellent options) was delightful as were the Cream teas on arrival. Perfect stay

I’ve stayed here several times & always stay in the garden suite with my dog & it’s great to have separate access to the grounds. The beds are unbelievably comfortable with lovely bed linen. The area is so peaceful - I immediately feel relaxed as soon as I arrive……. Liz’s breakfasts & afternoon cake are delicious & my dog certainly appreciates his welcome hamper in the bedroom plus his own breakfast menu! For those who don’t like dogs there are separate eating areas, so no issues. I can thoroughly recommend a visit here with so many lovely places to visit within a 45 min drive.

My mother, my two brothers and I visited Devon over three days for a trip down memory lane. Bulleigh Barton Manor is simply a wonderful place to stay. The welcome and the service offered by owners Liz and Mark is friendly and discreet. A home from home. Good sized well appointed bedrooms and plenty of space in the dining and sitting rooms. The views of the rolling hills is a real tonic and to take time to wonder the garden is enjoyable. The breakfast is fabulous and the personal touches make it special when returning from daily excursions. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

We’ve stayed here several times and have always received an extreme warm welcome from Liz and Mark. Nothing is too much trouble for them . We’ve stayed in the Brooking room and Garden room, both are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The surrounding garden and countryside is beautiful and visitors are welcome to explore the grounds. The food at breakfast is all locally sourced , freshly cooked, delicious and plenty of it, not to mention a cream tea on arrival and delicious cakes every day in the room. We always look forward to our visits and are never disappointed.

Situated in a beautiful location Bulleigh Barton Manor is a wonderful place to stay. We received a warm welcome from Liz and her lovely dog Zennor. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and very comfortable with tasty home made cakes and biscuits on arrival. The breakfast was excellent and we hope to make a return visit very soon.

This was our 2nd visit to this lovely relaxing place. It will definitely be our ‘go to’ whenever we are in the area in the future as well. This has honestly got to be the best B&B we have stayed in, there is nothing not to love about it! The hosts are amazing, friendly, warm and welcoming. The accommodation is first class rivalling that of top hotels, it is comfortable and spotlessly clean and the breakfast is excellent quality. The homemade cakes and biscuits provided in the room each day are a great touch too. I thoroughly recommend Bulleigh Barton Manor.

My wife and I spent a very enjoyable four nights in Bulleigh Barton Manor in April 2022. We have returned here several times and enjoy the relaxed, peaceful environment. Liz and Mark are gracious and friendly hosts, whose attention to detail is excellent in all respects. The food is of a very high quality, with a wide choice of breakfast menu, and the home-made scones and cakes are much appreciated.

A wonderfully relaxing stay. Liz was an amazing hostess, even before we arrived she sent detailed emails about where to eat and to where to walk with a spaniel. In fact the dog was even more spoilt than we were with a hamper of goodies, including freshly cooked sausages, waiting for him in the room. Liz’s food was delicious from the huge cream tea on arrival to the huge breakfast before we left and homemade cakes in the room. We had a gorgeous bathroom and glorious view from the bedroom. All three of us had a wonderful stay two night stay and look forward to returning.

To be met by one of the very best Devon cream teas, the lovely feeling of home as the fireplace says, to the lovely company of Liz and Mark and Zennor, too! A breakfast to die for, cakes from heaven, this place is truly special and we’re coming back! See you in July!

What a place. Very friendly and helpful couple, Room was stunning and had nice touches. Breakfast was one of the best we have had. Over all 10/10 will be going back again and must.

Absolutely perfect B&B. Liz and Mark really have thought of everything. They are welcoming and friendly. Our room and bathroom was beautiful and supplied with tea, coffee (fresh), home made cakes, fudge, lovely toiletries. Breakfast was incredible. I cannot think of one thing that was not perfect.

We had the best stay here with Liz and Mark. Every thing was wonderful. The house was a delight and the garden with views perfect. Our breakfast was delicious and we would highly recommend staying at this lovely B&B. A really nice touch was upon arrival we were given a lovely Devon cream tea. We had our miniture Dacshund with us who was made to feel very welcome. We will defiantly return for a longer visit next time.

Liz & Mark have simply the best B&B in Devon - I've been visiting for months and always look forward to coming back. It really is a home from home, with the warmest welcome!
