Devon lanes, pheasants, bluebell walks and sparkling B&B. The Hayes clearly love what they do; ex-TV producers, they have converted this 18th-century farmhouse and barns into a snug and stylish place to stay. Be charmed by original beams and pine doors, heritage colours and clean lines. Bedrooms are very private and luxurious, two have terraces overlooking the wooded valley and the most cosy is tucked under the roof. Linen is tip-top, showers are huge and breakfasts (Frank’s pancakes, lovely bacon, eggs from next door) are totally flexible. A welcoming glass of wine, starry night skies, beaches nearby, peace all around. Bliss.
We were made to feel very welcome by Frank & Carol and the rooms are tastefully furnished and decorated with great attention to detail. We found everything "just so" and very much enjoyed our overnight stay.
