The Experience

A light, bright L-shaped open plan space for get-togethers with friends or time away for families. There’s plenty of space to spread out: cooking is a sociable affair and you’ll find loads of gadgets, basics for cooking plus a really generous welcome hamper with bread from the bakery in Stow, local bacon and eggs, honey from bees down the road and delicious crunchy granola.

The living space in this converted bull pen (once home to Falcon the bull) is lofty and generous with squashy sofas, a wood-burner and baskets of games – each room has floor to ceiling windows so the light floods in. Larger parties can take The Stables too and a full concierge service is available if you want to be cooked for, shopped for or have tickets and tables sorted for you.

You’ll feel very private in the courtyard garden with table and chairs for al fresco dining, an enormous gas barbecue, table tennis table, small lawn and planted flower beds. Stroll down a footpath into Bibury, described by William Morris as ‘the most beautiful village in England’ for a post office, village shop and the Swan Hotel for teas and suppers. The Organic Farm Shop is just the place for stocking up and is a ten-minute drive. Walking and cycling trails are abundant and garden visits, wildlife and water parks all an easy drive.

Reviews

All the Bibury barns are super comfortable and sociable, but the fact Bull Pen is all on one level means it is especially suitable for those with limited mobility. Children will enjoy tearing around as well!

Introducing

George & Polly Phillips

George and Polly have created a set of super-smart renovated barns on part of George's family farm, all styled by uber Cotswolds interior designer Pippa Paton. Each barn has its own character but all have big pieces of art, impressive lighting and much comfort. The aim here is to provide an extremely comfortable base for families and groups of friends.
