Heath Barn

Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire

Big open plan barn conversion with bluebell wood for stylish holidays in the Cotswolds; perfect for families and friends

3 bedrooms

Sleeps 5

A slice of (rather posh) rural bliss in between two pretty Cotswold villages. Bowl down a lengthy drive lined by curious sheep to find a gorgeous stone farmhouse where owners Francis and Georgie live; your converted barn adjoins them but politely faces the other way. Walk straight in through large glass doors to a cathedral like space with a flagstone floor, exposed walls, interesting art, a wood-burner in one corner, brown leather sofas for snuggling and a large glass dining table for convivial meals. A kitchen area has all the stuff you need for holiday cooking and those big doors can remain flung open on sunny days for children and grown ups to hare in and out. Bedrooms are on the mezzanine: sweet views, nice white cotton, a claw foot or slipper bath. Whoever has the single must go through one double to get to the bathroom so better for families or close friends. Good pubs abound if you’re feeling lazy about cooking or you can pay a visit to Daylesford Farm Shop to stock up on healthy ingredients. Walks are straight from the door, sublime gardens are near, curiously you can even go camel riding! Fun.
