This pretty Victorian cottage feels completely private as the surrounding houses are hidden by trees, and a gate at the bottom of the garden leads directly onto the New Forest. Although Amanda has thought of everything children – and their parents – could want for the perfect holiday, she can transform the house into a romantic bolthole too.
Find supplies for breakfast in the kitchen, and a freshly baked loaf waiting in the bread machine. A wrapped present waits for each child, wine and chocolate for adults, and there are unlimited logs for the two wood-burners – plus an array of full-size products in the bathroom along with fluffy robes.
The big back garden has a long lawn perfect for racing around, an eating out space with a barbecue (charcoal provided) and a little children’s bench area which also contains a sandpit. Stroll to the White Buck pub in 15 minutes for excellent food or walk to Burley in half an hour; the pretty seaside town of Milford is a 20-minute drive.
