The
Experience

Down a country lane and surrounded by orchards, ancient woodland and wildlife sites… this little house is an inspiring retreat. Newly built and beautifully blended into the natural garden, The Studio is simple yet special. Downstairs you have a sweet kitchen/sitting room with ceilings up to the eaves and French windows to the garden. An Everhot cooker keeps the room snug, and there’s a sofabed for extra guests. Hop up wooden stairs to the lovely loft room with a table for writing, and glorious views over to the Malvern Hills. The peace is complete and you’ll sleep soundly in white linen topped with a blue Welsh blanket. You have your own lawn for meals outside, and share barbecue and garden furniture with The Lighthouse opposite. Ella lives there, and she bakes you a cake and leaves local or homemade provisions to get you going: apple juice, jams, cheeses. She’s happy to do breakfast too – in The Lighthouse, or at the farm (a stroll down the lane). There are markets and shops galore with good local food. Borrow bikes and maps, walk the hills, eat out at great pubs… or stay put and enjoy the birds and the tranquillity.

Reviews

The Studio is a hidden gem! Ella provides everything needed for a relaxing, restorative time, starting with some goodies full of flavour, and ending with many memories to savour! -The welcome cake was yummy...the maps pointed us in the right direction to enjoy the countryside...while the comfy furniture cocooned us in the cosy retreat! The delights of The Studio are many...

Ella was delightful: friendly ,informative and so helpful but not obtrusive. The studio was a haven for us and the countryside heavenly... so quiet except for the sounds that matter like the bleat of a sheep and birdsong and the walks are quite special..ancient orchards and pathways, across fields and hills and tiny hamlets. Too perfect for a world weary couple who needed space and time to gather their wits!

  • extra bedrooms available in the Lighthouse.
  • lots of good local food available in the nearby small towns of Ledbury and Bromyard.
