The Experience

This is a relaxed, comfortable and refined space decorated by London Designer – but also very generous. Mattresses are Vispring, duvets and pillows feather and down. You’ll find unlimited logs for the wood-burning stove, lemon drizzle cake and a bottle of wine, oodles of kit in the kitchen, including a 4-oven Aga and a fabulous playroom for children and teenagers with electric blow football and snooker. They’ve also got their own snug with TV, books and games.

All the bedrooms are upstairs and off a main hallway, all have gorgeous views and one has a south-facing balcony with table and chairs for early morning tea or a sundowner. Up in the attic is a dormitory room with its own shower room. As well as the garden there are two big fields for romping or games, a veg plot, apple orchard and wildflower meadow.

You’re surrounded by some pretty towns to explore – Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks and Tenterden, all with interesting restaurants and shops.

A hugely generous space for a wonderful family time, or gather friends together. Either way there is much space, a glorious playroom for children and teenagers, a lovely big garden to wander, a wildflower meadow for summer picnics and a fab kitchen to cook convivially.

The neighbourhood

You're surrounded by fields, fine horses and walking paths straight from the house past a lake, lots of pheasants and many other birds. It's very flat cycling country and the nearest village is Goudhurst, four miles, for shops, pubs, Taywell farm shop with its cheeses, wild game, excellent sausages and fruit and veg. Sissinghurst Castle and gardens, and Leeds Castle are ten miles.
