Bed & Breakfast

A charming getaway in a super country manor: conservatory, log fire, delightful hosts and landscaped gardens particularly special in spring

2 rooms

Rooms sleep 2

A classic manor house in an idyllic setting, close to Canterbury and the North Downs Way. This warm, civilised home mixes Tudor beams with Georgian proportions; find a huge conservatory full of greenery, a guest sitting room with sofas and log fire, and breakfasts fresh from the Aga. Traditional bedrooms are carpeted and cosily furnished. Your charming, country-loving hosts welcome you with tea and flowers from the garden – a perfect spot with its lawns, tree-lined avenue, bluebell woods and stone obelisk. Not much more than a half hour train ride from London – and ten minutes from the Chunnel, but this is worth more than one night.

You will love this period propertyon the edge of the North Downs. It is hard to believe that you can leave a four lane motorway and find such a rural setting. Our hosts were charming and welcomed us with tea & shortbread. They could not have been more helpful in finding us reservations for dinner in the local pubs. I hope to return and do some walking in the area.
