Make yourselves at home in the fire-warmed drawing room full of fine furniture, art and furnishings in the richest reds and golds. Charlotte is a smashing cook: homemade granola and marmalade, local eggs, bacon and sausages for breakfast; you can book a three-course dinner too. Bedrooms are painted in soft colours, beds are covered in goose down; bathrooms are immaculate. The old stabling now houses three neat self-catering cottages too. An absolutely beautiful place. This is exactly what you think of when you imagine staying at a fairy tale English mansion complete with grand front door, lion sculptures, topiary trees, and walled gardens filled withplants and flowers. Despite arriving on a wet night, Charles was warm and welcoming and we appreciated him waiting up to greet us. The inside of Breedon Hall is equally as ideal as the outside. The drawing room and large kitchen make you feel like you are on a movie set. Our bed was comfortable with luxurious linen and soft towels. We were so grateful to have our dog welcomed too

Our stay with our little dog was absolutely lovely. Charlotte & Charles are a very welcoming, fun couple and the full english breakfast we had was 5 star, accompanied by homemade granola, Perfect. Our room was huge & very beautiful, with a grand bathroom. All in all it was a superb find & we would definetly stay again in the future.

Couldn't have asked for anymore, Charles and Charlotte are so accommodating, it offers so much more than an impersonal hotel. The rooms have been decorated beautifully and with real style and flair, the breakfast was delicious and nothing too much trouble. The overriding quality of Breedon Hall is definitely the owners, we will be going back - loved it!

Beautiful house and rooms in a lovely part of the world. Charles and Charlotte are wonderful and thoughtful hosts who make a stay at Breedon Hall really special. We loved it and hope to return.

Charlotte and Charles were fabulous hosts, making it very easy for all the guests to feel at home, relaxed, and enjoy getting to know one another. The room was wonderful; luxurious furnishings, withwonderful bed, and bathroom; the whole suite spacious, light, and airy. Fabulous food.

I can't recommend Breedon Hall highly enough. Charles and Charlotte are the most obliging, charming hosts. Beds are divine, breakfast delicious and their wonderful home is a pleasure to stay in. Perfect.

We stayed at Breedon Hall on 7th May. Warm welcome which continued over the stay, relaxed but high standard. We were made to feel like friends whilst eating with Charles the owner over an excellent dinner with copious amount of wine if needed and then a great breakfast watching, talking and digesting over the election results! Delightful and would certainly recommend and stay again.

We were warmly welcomed by Charlotte and Charles and we thoroughly enjoyed a wonderfully peaceful break at their sumptuous home. A fire warmed the drawing room, our room was very comfortable and it was lovely and quiet - it's a wonderful place to get away to!

Charles and Charlotte were extremely welcoming and friendly. The room we stayed in was huge and the fact we could bring our dog without feeling she was a drag was lovely. The food was very good - especially recommended is the ginger cheesecake. The easy atmosphere was much appreciated. Thanks - we had a good stay. All best wishes, Diana

We had a lovely stay at Breedon Hall. Charlotte was away but Charles coped magnificently - charming host and wonderful breakfast. Gorgeous house and bedrooms - definitely worth a visit.

We have stayed at many bed and breakfasts and this must rote among the very best. Charlotte and Charles are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble.we had perfect weather, perfect rooms, wonderful hosts and even saw Murray win Wimbledon ! An unforgettable stay.

Out little family of 3 had a fab time with Charlotte and Charles. They were both super hospitable ( the first question asked of us was "would you like red, white or a cup of tea") just what you need after a long journey! It was like staying with family. Would definitely come back if we were passing that way again. Thank you for helping our holiday start a day early :)

Superb weekend break. Feeling totally chilled and refreshed. From the moment you arrive, the friendly and warming hospitality of Charlotte and Charles is excellent, as they welcome you to share their home during your stay. Our room was lovely, as was the fabulous fresh breakfast before you head out to enjoy the local area - we managed a walk up to the priory, Calke Abbey (well worth a visit) and then cycled the Cloud Trail to Derby. Both pubs in the village are ideal for evening refreshment and food. Looking for something a little different, stay here, you won't be disappointed.

We have just returned from the most wonderful weekend at Breedon Hall. It’s hard to put into words how beautiful the house and surroundings are. Charlotte and Charles’ hospitality was second to none. We were made to feel like we were at home and part of the family. On our last day, we walked around the grounds with Bullet (the dog) and Mr Bingo (the cat), it was so idyllic, we didn’t want to leave. Our room was stunning, with beautiful furniture, the comfiest bed ever, walk in shower, home-made biscuits, what more could you want? We will definitely be back! Thank you.

A beautiful place. The rooms are stunning and comfortable, the hosts delightful, the food delicious.

Fantastic stay at Breedon Hall. We were welcomed with tea and biscuits fresh from the oven, which we took in the lovely walled garden. We followed Charlotte's advice and walked up the hill to the Priory Church and took in the wonderful views. Dinner in the pub at the bottom of the drive was very good but I would definitely be tempted to have dinner in the Hall next time. The room was delightful and enormous and the hosts couldn't have been more friendly. Can't imagine staying anywhere better and have already recommended it to friends.

An absolutely enchanting family home, steeped in history , set in the most beautiful surroundings. The rooms are wonderful, care has really been taken to restore this building to its former Georgian glory and anyone staying here could not ask for more attentive hosts, that will make you feel like one of the family. The accommodation is set in idyllic countryside with gastro pub and Thai restaurant on the doorstep. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

We have just returned from a wonderful weekend with Charlotte and her amazing family. The house is fab and Charlotte did everything to make our stay the best. The room was beautiful and had all we needed. Breakfast was great - we will be back to sample the evening meal next time - Thank you

Brilliant! Couldn't have been more welcoming, even when we turned up with a two crazy dogs and a baby! Beautiful place to stay and Charlotte made us feel so at home, welcoming us with a cup of tea and cake. We had the most delicious dinner whilst the dogs also made some new friends. Charlotte and Charles are wonderful hosts and we would highly recommend a visit to their beautiful home.

charlotte has made a beautiful effort renovating the hall back to its grand former glory!! so much so i have booked my wife to be in there for the night before our wedding so she is able to prepare herself in wonderful surrounds and capture some fantastic photographs, we will also return for our wedding night and charlotte assures me that she will make a specail effort in decorating the room. i dont think you could ask for more.
