The Experience

At the end of a neatly raked gravel drive, a new manor house with wide views and stunning sunsets over the peaceful Trent valley. The Days have farmed in the village since 1898 and look after you with friendly ease. They give you a bedroom in the main house, or an annexe with its own entrance hall and sunny patio; find period furniture, a comfy sofa or two and rural art. The beautiful gardens are awash with roses, ducks on the pond, horses in the paddock. Shooting can be arranged and you can fish for carp in the lake, or play golf nearby; there are music and art festivals, antique fairs and walks in abundance too.

Whether or not this is your destination or you are making an onward journey after you stay, this bed and breakfast offers comfortable accommodation and a delightful breakfast provided by a wonderfully welcoming host. The peaceful location has far-reaching views of the Lincolnshire countryside. No surprise that so many guests often return to The Manor House.

If you're after a taste of rural Lincolnshire and a warm family welcome, head directly to the Manor House. The fishing lakes are a pleasant mile's stroll away, and any nerves will be soothed by the wash of birdsong.

We were made to feel so very welcome. Lovely nights sleep and wonderful breakfast. Even the Kent flag was flying just for us! Thank you.

My wife and I are celebrating our 80th years and 57th wedding anniversary. We have visited countless guest houses and hotels around Britain and have just returned from one that is surely among the very best. Set in the quiet countryside of North Lincolnshire, the Manor House offers superb accommodation, delicious breakfast, splendid hospitality, and a wonderful relaxing atmosphere. Maybe not for the jetsetter but otherwise a countryside venue difficult to beat. Our stay alas coincided with atrocious weather but this impacted not one iota on our enjoyment. Judy could not have been more helpful.

Beautiful accommodation with a bed so soft it's like sleeping on a cloud. Judy is a fantastic host nothing was too much trouble and her homemade bake well tart which was there on arrival is to die for. Full English breakfast in the gorgeous dining room of the main house was delicious and there was also a selection of cereal and fresh fruit and yoghurt. Will definitely recommend to friends and return in future. :)

Vicky, Scunthorpe

This is the 3rd visit to this wonderful B/B and as always we are welcomed like friends, Richard and Judy are the perfect hosts who will answer any questions about places to visit and places to eat. The accommodation is very spacious and always home made cakes. Breakfast is in the main house dining room with spectacular views over the lovely Trent valley. On our last day Richard took us all round the farm and what we could see from the window. explaing as we went round what they are doing, there are also three fishing lakes. I can recommend this wonderful B/B and the wonderful hosts.

A superb stay at the manor house - Judy and Chris are really friendly and helpful. There was yummy home made Victoria sponge on arrival. We had a lovely peaceful night - the room I is very spacious with very comfortable beds, everything you could possibly need in your own little annex. Breakfast was delicious. We stayed en route to the Scottish Borders and loved it so much decided to stop over again on our way back to London.

Terrific welcome, super comfy beds, spacious room and amazing breakfast. Very helpful and friendly hosts. Marvellous.
