Elegant Edwardian townhouse B&B close to shops, restaurants and Chelsea Physic Garden

2 rooms

Rooms sleep 1 - 2

A super-central B&B tucked behind the Kings Road, just a saunter away from bustling shops and restaurants. Return to a deeply comfortable bedroom up in the eaves with rosebud papered walls, blue and white china bedside lights, plenty of hanging space and views over swaying treetops; a single room is next door and shares the bathroom. There’s a guest sitting room (with honesty bar) overlooking the garden and an antique dark wood trestle table for proper breakfasts of bacon, Lincolnshire sausages and eggs how you like them. Suzie, a cook, can rustle up a light supper or a full blown dinner party. Invite friends!

We have discovered a gem of a B&B in the heart of Chelsea - the house is beautiful and Suzie, our host, could not have been more welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was delightful and the breakfasts delicious. You are only a few minutes from bus routes inn central London, and Chelsea itself has so much to offer. We will be back!

Angela, Reading

A perfect place to stay in London. Very handy for so many attractions, shops and restaurants, yet a real oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. Suzie is a wonderful hostess and made us feel so welcome in her lovely home. It was a joy to sit in her pretty garden after a day at Chelsea Flower Show. Breakfast was excellent, and the rooms and bathroom beautifully presented. We will be back!

Jo, Stockport

From the moment I arrived on a warm, sunny afternoon I was made to feel at home by the owner, Suzie and able to enjoy the lovely, secluded garden. This is a perfect location from which to enjoy everything London has to offer, and is a haven to return to after the hustle and bustle. A very special place to stay, with the emphasis on comfort and somewhere to which I would happily return. For local interest I would particularly recommend Chelsea Physic Garden, just 15 mins walk away; an oasis in this sprawling city.

Simon, Preston

We had a very nice 1 night stay at Suzies home which is very charming and we were made to feel at home. We then had a gorgeous breakfast the following morning and look forward to visiting again.

A real gem. Quiet, yet so close to the Kings and Fulham Roads and their transport links. Restful and tasteful decor (comfortable beds), delicious breakfasts, and a wonderful hostess. A haven to return to.

Michele, Winchester

Outstanding accommodation and a wonderful host. Susie offered everything you would require for a high quality stay and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend and will go back again.

We stayed at Chelsea Gardens B&B for 1 night. It was an excellent place to stay. Very well located in Chelsea for easy access by London bus or underground to the London attractions, to the West End theatres, for Shopping, with many places nearby to select for food & drink. The accommodation was a high standard & was very comfortable. We were made very welcome & look forward to a return visit!

A thoroughly lovely experience, very comfortable accommodation, great location and a very warm welcome from Susie. We would definitely return.

The neighbourhood

Local points of interest from Suzie Hyman

  • There's a great food market on Sloane Square on Saturday mornings. After breakfast it's a lovely stroll down the Kings Road past all the shops and cafes.
  • Battersea Park is just across the bridge from my house. Very handy for an early morning jog or walk, Battersea Park is very beautiful in all seasons and there are often fun activities going on.
  • The house is situated between the Fulham and Kings Roads, both of which are bursting with great restaurants. I have lots of interesting recommendations, from Thai, Italian, Indian or Mexican.
