The Experience

Eudora has made sure her guests have everything they need to feel at home, from cooking essentials in the kitchen and a cosy gas fire in the living room, to Neal’s Yard products and plenty of towels in the bathroom – ask her about having breakfast delivered before your stay.

Eckhardt the friendly cat comes and goes. On sunny days, throw open the bi-fold conservatory door onto the wonderful woodland garden and have a barbecue, or if the weather’s bad you can pull down the projector screen and watch movies while raindrops patter on the roof above. You’re welcome to use the little office set in a cabin at the end of the garden, and Eudora’s planning a Nordic-style sauna to go behind it.

Explore London from Highgate station, a seven-minute walk away. Highgate Woods are less than five minutes’ walk, Hampstead Heath 15 minutes and the ever-bustling Camden Market is 20 minutes away.

A lovely place! We stayed for a week in September. There’s an excellent use of the space, the flat has everything one needs for a stay. The garden is very pretty; an excellent spot to have the morning coffee or tea. The street is quiet, but located perfectly to either reach the local shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants or go for a walk. It is very relaxing watching Eckhardt the cat going on patrolling around the garden. Green spaces are plentiful around Highgate: Highgate Woods and Queen’s Woods are nearby, and Parkland Walk, Hampstead Heath or Waterlow Park offer plenty of things to discover.

This place is truly wonderful, with a home-from-home feeling and an atmosphere of warmth and privacy. After a deep night's sleep, walk up the hill to Highgate Village for independent cafes and shops or pop into Kenwood manor or the famous cemetery. Jump on the tube (only a 10 minute walk from your door) for the likes of Camden Market or Primrose Hill.

The neighbourhood

The flat is one of six in a semi-detached house on a quaint residential street, and you’ll find visitor permits in the flat that will allow you to park outside. There's a greengrocer less than five minutes’ walk away, and a main road with cafes and shops is just around the corner. Highgate tube station is a 7-minute walk.

Local points of interest from Eudora Pascall

  • Highgate Village always has something interesting going on from markets to concerts. There are plenty of cafes and lovely little boutiques. Very close to Hampstead Heath
  • Hampstead Heath is stunningly beautiful all year round. It’s so large that you’ll always discover new places to explore. The ponds are a great place for wild swimming.
  • Kenwood House has sumptuous grounds and you can come inside and discover how the family used to live. There’s a delicious cafe and garden centre. And of course there are often concerts and interesting events going on.
  • Muswell Hill and Crouch End both feel like villages with a strong community. Walking distance with a great selection of shops and restaurants. There both have their own independent cinema.

Eudora Pascall

Eudora and Andrew live between Germany and London, so you’ll pick up the keys nearby. Eudora runs a business that helps companies to reach their full potential and Andrew runs a plastic-free supermarket in Belsize Park. Eckhardt the cat is always ready for a cuddle.
