The Experience
Two elegant Georgian townhouses sit less than a mile from Buckingham Palace, with Westminster, Sloane Square and Piccadilly all a short stroll. Breakfast is served in ‘The Buttery’ which is a bustling café so you must book your table when you check in. Find all the usual suspects along with spinach and bacon brioche, a vegan fry-up or The Buttery Breakfast with roast potatoes, butter beans in tomato sauce and Portobello mushrooms.
Bedrooms are smart and all different: one on the ground floor has doors onto the garden, the first-floor rooms have high ceilings and those at the top (quite a few stairs) are cosy in the eaves – rooms at the back are the quietest and there are seven single bedrooms. Best of all is the pretty garden with an awning and powerful heaters, so even on chillier days you can sit outdoors.
There’s no guest sitting room as such but you’ll find guide books and places to sit in reception before you venture forth.

I can fully recommend this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The room was above expectation and both the bedroom and bathroom were clean and in excellent condition. If we are in London again this where we will stay.

Location
The neighbourhood
You're sitting at the point where busy Victoria instantly turns into tranquil Belgravia. The street is fairly quiet but you're a stone's throw from good pubs and restaurants – Granymede, The Thomas Cubitt, Boisdale of Belgravia. Hop on a bus or walk to the tube and train at Victoria Station in seven minutes. It's also a very handy base for the Chelsea Flower Show.
Local points of interest from Sofía Cruz
- Belgravia is a terrific area to explore on foot - we like to browse the colourful boutiques on Elizabeth Street and then indulge in a slap up lunch at one of the lovely local pubs.
- Sloane Square and the wonderful shopping of the Kings Road are just a five minute stroll from our door.
- Chelsea Physic Garden is one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world and is a beautiful spot to get away from it all, well worth the 15 minute walk on a bright day!
