The Experience
This pretty Victorian pied-à-terre, its wisteria arching a bright red door, makes a peaceful London retreat. Your space is a contemporary basement studio flat that comes with its own private door, an outside iron staircase and a tiny wisteria-filled patio. The kitchen/diner draws the eye, with light spilling down from glass bricks above and plenty of space in which to cook (a plus if you plan to entertain friends). Polished wooden floors stretch the length and breadth of the space; crisp white walls are offset with chrome lights and large framed sketches in modernist style – credit to the talent of Vicky’s son. Spotlights star the corniced ceiling brightening the living area and its bamboo-weave rugs, behind the sofabed is a super-sized bed (twin or zipped-up double), and the super shower room has exposed bricks, sea-green tiles and a drenching shower. You can stroll, shop, eat on nearby King Street, and book tickets for the Hammersmith Apollo or the Lyric. Good humoured Vicky lives upstairs and will pop a daily continental breakfast into your fridge.

Fantastic place, lovely room at the top of the house, quiet location but just a hop, skip and a job to the main road and the underground. Has safe parking on-site. Excellent and would highly recommend.
