Rooms sleep 2

Down country roads lined with flint walls to this beautiful old house next to the church. Step into a home full of flowers, china, antiques, wood fires and books. Bedrooms (one in the main house, two ground floor in the stables) have well-dressed beds; the stables’ cosy sitting room opens to the garden. Breakfast is home-grown and delicious: fruit, eggs from the hens, bacon and sausages from their happy pigs – Libby and Robin have won conservation awards for the farm. Masses to do nearby: boat trips, nature reserves, stately homes. Return to glorious gardens with a wisteria-clad summer house; deer and rheas roam the wild corners.
