Meadow House

My wife and I recently spent three nights staying in delightful Meadow House where we enjoyed a very comfortable room with a lovely view over the garden and surrounding farm land. Amanda was a charming and most considerate host who provided excellent breakfasts in the conservatory dining room. This is a wonderful base from which to explore north-west Norfolk's countryside, towns and villages, varied coastline and historic houses and churches.

A relaxing and quiet place to stay with plenty to see in the surrounding area. Comfortable room with lovely views over the garden and the fields beyond. Amanda is a super hostess and cooks great breakfasts served in the light conservatory overlooking the garden.

Amanda is special! She's so warm and friendly and so eager to do everything to make her guests welcome and comfortable.

Wonderful place to stay, spacious and very comfortable. Amanda is an excellent hostess and we enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning.

My husband and l stayed at Meadow House for a week in July. It is a beautiful house and Amanda is the perfect host. Our bedroom was spacious and very clean with a large comfy bed and a lovely view of the garden and surrounding fields. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order, there was also cereals, fruit and yogurt. Amanda also suggested places for us to eat in the evening which was very much appreciated. We will definitely be back.

Meadow House was the perfect place for us on our brief stopover. We enjoyed a warm welcome at the end of a long journey and appreciated the recommendation of a great local pub for evening meal. Our room was spacious, comfortable and airy with a lovely view across the fields. Amanda’s home is truly another Sawday’s special place.

Amanda gives her guests their own sitting and dining room in her lovely house, which is warm, comfortable and full of interesting pictures and objet d'art. The garden is beautiful, with different places to sit and admire the view. Situated in a lovely village, with a pub a short walk away, down a tree - lined lane, you feel part of the community very quickly. We had a lovely room, with a very comfortable bed and a good shower. Breakfast was good and filling, with superb scrambled eggs. Amanda made sure that I had gluten and dairy free options.

Excellent B&B, beautiful room, fantastic views, brilliant host and superb (what I wanted) breakfast. Amanda made us feel welcome, gave us ideas of where to go using quite roads etc. Booked us in for dinner at the local pub which served lovely food and excellent service. Definitely staying there again in the future.

Welcome was cheerful and Amanda was very pleased to see us. The rooms had everything that was needed and very comfortable , and an excellent breakfast. We will definitely go back again.

The North Norfolk coast is wonderful, but it can get a little frantic. If you're looking for a place within easy reach of the coast but far enough inland to offer peace and quiet in the evening, then Meadow House is perfect. The setting is peaceful, the views are gently rural, the room was very clean and comfortable, and you couldn't ask for a nicer hostess. A big plus for us is that there's an excellent pub within walking distance, with decent food and proper ale.

We had a super time and will def come back! Stayed with our two children, ages 3 & 1. Breakfast was delicious and complete. Cereal, fruit, yogurt + cooked English breakfast. The room was charming with a beautiful view and the house lovely, very cosy feeling to it. Amanda welcomed us warmly and went beyond our expectations. She kindly offered to babysit while we went for dinner but whisked up scrambled eggs on toast and opened a bottle of white wine for us when we could not make it. She gave us useful tips on beaches and posted our phone charger as we left it behind (all without charge)

We were warmly welcomed by Amanda and immediately felt relaxed in her beautiful and comfortable home. The expansive view of the farmland and it's abundant wildlife, especially the hares, is magical. An excellent breakfast, freshly cooked to order, is served in the delightful conservatory over looking the garden. We hope to return!

We stayed for four days with Amanda, who proved to be a very friendly hostess. We had a very nice and quiet room with a wide view and a good bathroom. The breakfast was wonderful, the breakfast room also had a nice view of the garden. A good pub was within walking distance. By car from the B & B many destinations can be reached quickly. We felt very well, were completely satisfied and recommend the Meadow House with great conviction!

A perfect place to stay for peace and quiet in a beautiful home. Amanda will take great care of you, nothing is too much trouble.

Amanda is the perfect host, nothing is too much trouble. The house and countryside are beautiful. If you love the English countryside, a comfortable bed and a good breakfast then this is the place to stay.

This a delightful house in a beautiful rural setting. We had a very comfortable bedroom with a lovely outlook . The sitting room and dining area in the conservatory were both very well furnished and the breakfast delicious. Amanda made us feel very much at home and was very informative about areas of interest in the locality. We have stayed in many Sawday places and Meadow House certainly ranks alongside the best.

We stayed 2 nights & would have stayed longer if we could have. The room was lovely with perfect views across the countryside. Amanda is very welcoming, you have use of a sitting room which is full of beautiful artefacts. I highly recommend Meadow Cottage, the bed, the breakfast, the welcome Are all top notch

Although we only stayed one night Amanda was the perfect hostess. She was very accommodating. The house is lovely, the room very comfortable and the views from the bedroom were spectacular. The breakfast was good, with home made jam and marmalade. We hope to return at some point in the future.
