Thatched Cottage

Twin 17th-century cottages have been sensitively renovated into one property with charmingly interconnected rooms, fresh flowers in the bedrooms, a thatched roof with eaves so low they come down to your shoulders, and a delightful enclosed back garden.

Stuart and Sarah have poured much passion and imagination into the eclectic interior, a mix of new, antiques from local auctions and upcycled furniture. Books are dotted around the house wherever there’s space, and children’s games are squashed into cupboards; older kids will love the Xbox 360.

Find a welcome hamper of treats and all the basics for cooking in the kitchen. Spend long sunny days in the garden, either around the large table in the loggia, on the hammock strung between pear trees, or in the hot tub; wander to the village pub, The Kings Head, for local ales and pub food.
