7 bedrooms

Sleeps 12

A tranquil setting in unspoilt countryside – just right for a family reunion or for celebrating a special occasion. Your group has the lion’s share of a manor house on the edge of a village, with 60 acres to roam and a huge south-facing terrace for summer dining. There are great views from the master bedroom and guest room. Walk to the pub in the village or across the surrounding fields. Spread out in big sitting rooms and find plenty of quiet corners. Everyone can join in with cooking on the Aga in the huge and homely kitchen – there’s a big gas cooker too, or a cook can be arranged.Owners’ family friend Kymberly manages the house and can sort out extras (which need to be arranged in advance) from catering and babysitting to ‘Farm School’, where children can help collect the eggs, feed the animals, ride the ponies or meet the lambs.

Kymberly Wolfson

The owners brought up their children in Oxford here at Baldon House, and it still feels like a spacious family home but with lots of useful hotel touches added. They are mostly based in the US, so family friend Kymberley, who lives nearby, greets guests and will happily organise all the extras you might need including 'Book a Cook' or a daily housekeeper.
