The
Experience

You’ll eat well – this is B&B with an award-winning pop-up restaurant! Sparkling Tanya cooks like a dreamboat – try venison loin with pommes Anna and port jus, broccoli and carrots, raspberry meringue pies for pudding. Drinks and canapes are served first, petit fours and coffee afterwards. If you can manage the stairs after all that there are super-comfy beds upstairs with smart white cotton and fat pillows, toe-tickling carpets, linen-covered armchairs and books. Spotless shower rooms have Neal’s yard stuff and thick towels. Breakfast is lavish too, and you’re close to Blenheim. Great for sociable foodies who like exploring.

Reviews

My husband and I have just returned from our one night stay at Castle FarmHouse, for my 50th birthday. Usually we go for city breaks and have stayed in many five star hotels, but even they do not come close to this fabulous B and B. We were drawn by the gluten free menu but really they provide so much more. The attention to detail and quality is outstanding. The evening meal is a very sociable event beginning with canapes, ours were sirloin steak with wasabi and Prosecco in the lounge. Tanya is a superb hostess and chef, we will be returning very soon.

We spent a wonderful evening here at the B & B as we'd driven from Kent to try out Tanya's pop up home restaurant and thought we'd make a night of it. Warmly greeted by Tanya and John where we had tea and brownies it their kitchen. You never would have believed she was hosting 16 for dinner that evening as she was so calm and the place spotless !! Shown to our wonderful room which was perfect. Lovely high end finishes and lots of personal touches such as the extensive tea tray and more chocolate brownies ! Lovely soft bedding, towels and Neals Yard toiletries all made for a perfect sleep

One night certainly wasnt enough! Castle Farmhouse is a beautifully appointed bed and breakfast with quality furnishings and the most amazing food imaginable. Chef / host Tanya is a coeliac and caters for all allergies with ease and confidence and husband John helps when required. They are a charming couple who are passionate about Castle Farmhouse and Knife and Fork pop up restaurant which Tanya runs at weekends (booking essential). Dinner is available to guests during the week as well. Nothing was too much trouble and we cant wait to return. Would highly recommend.

Local points of interest from Tanya Young

  • Deddington is a unique village that is very much alive & thriving. There are many restaurants & pubs as well a deli, florists, clothes shops, antique shops, village shop, post office & butchers! A very pretty village to wander around & explore
  • We also have one of the largest farmers' markets in the country. Featuring over 40 stalls, it offers the very best in locally produced beer, bread, crafts, eggs, fish, flowers, fruit, meat, preserves. Held on 4th Saturday of each month.
  • We are ideally situated so guests can explore The Cotswolds, visit the famous Daylesford Farm Shop at Kingham and also stop off and explore Chipping Norton, Burford, Stow on the Wold & Broadway to name but a few.
  • There is so much to discover in this area, from independent cafes, coffee shops and restaurants to fabulous antiques, vintage & interior emporiums, many with their own cafés.
  • There are also numerous National trust properties in the area as well as Blenheim Palace & Woodstock. The historic city of Oxford is also a 30 minute drive away. Enjoy one of the many walking tours available and discover the city on foot.
  • Stratford upon Avon & Warwick Castle are also close by as is the shoppers dream Bicester Village - the designer discount outlet. We are also close to Silverstone too.
