Woodstock is a historic market town and this house a fine example of its Georgian architecture. It’s the last house on the end of the terrace and faces onto a small leafy square, with a pharmacy on the ground floor and the entrance via an external staircase round the back.
Let yourself in with the keysafe, and find a welcome hamper with bread, honey, butter, milk and wine. The layout is great for a group – there’s a drawing room with velvet sofas, a snug to watch TV or play games, and a small conservatory. Bedrooms are light and spacious, and the bathroom has a gorgeous copper tub.
There is a range of cafés and pubs within a ten-minute walk; you’ll also find interesting little shops, a museum, art galleries and antique shops. Blenheim Palace is just around the corner, and has wonderful grounds, the historic house and The Orangery for upmarket food.
